Hello all,
First Merry Christmas to you all.

Second, I bought at a yard sale last weekend a "GOLD RECORD." You know the kind that get sent to radio stations for playing a song or group that hits platinum or etc. Never mind the 20 dollars I spent, I hope to find the rightful owner.

Its a Chariots of Fire by Vangelis Album framed and presented to someone named John Foley. I'm assuming its from the Charlotte area since I bought this at a local Charlotte yard sale.

If anyone knows anything you can email me direct [email protected]

Thanks, and to all a good night

Randy: John Foley was a MCA record rep. For the Carolinas and former Charlotte jock at Big WAYS and WIST-AM. Chariots of Fire was on the Polydor label I think. One of the labels worked by MCA. John passed away in the fall of 1984. He was a regular visitor to WRQK where we became close friends.

John Foley AKA "Your Melvin" worked with me in the 60's at WKKO in Cocoa, Florida..Great Guy and yes, I am sorry to say he isn't with us anymore.

wow,
I remember Your Melvin.....having grown up on Big WAYS and WROQ ...thanks again for all the info.

I guess I will hang the Gold Record with pride in my office
