Any ideas for My Network TV?

It'll eventually be that time again, and here are some holiday traditions that haven't been seen in years:

- 'The Berenstain Bears' Christmas Special' (1979 animated special)
- 'The Berenstain Bears Meet Bigpaw' (1980 animated special)
- 'ET' (1982 movie; aired on CBS every Thanksgiving)
- 'Mickey's Christmas Carol' (1983 animated special; initially on NBC)
- 'Home Alone' (1990 movie; first seen on NBC, seen once on My Network TV)
- 'Winnie The Pooh And Christmas, Too' (1991 animated special)

I also remember a He-Man / She-Ra Christmas special, and didn't the Smurfs also have one as well?

A 2 hour block of "Silent" Night. ;D

As for other ideas, My Network TV could bring back 'UFC Wired' in light of the recent new deal between the networks of Fox and the UFC.

Also in light of the info regarding the upcoming 'In Living Color' specials, maybe MyNet could air classic repeats of the 1990s show again.

But perhaps the biggest mistake they made was eliminating the Saturday night lineup. Since all the other networks air mostly reruns that night, it could benefit most with sports and/or first-run programming. Like, any pilots rejected by Fox or related cable networks...

Home Alone 1 and 2 are played on different channels almost year round, so that wouldn't be anything new.

I think NBC or Fox used to show them on Thanksgiving night or maybe Black Friday night. I guess it never became the annual event that The Wizard on Oz on CBS was

How about the yule log from Thanksgiving to New Years? It should increase their ratings.
Charlotte's affiliate did that. I still have it on my TiVo so I can listen when I take down my tree. Radio isn't worth hearing at Christmas.

I remember when 'Olive The Other Reindeer' (the one with Drew Barrymore) first aired on The WB. Then it eventually aired once on My Network TV. Now, according to TV listings, it's scheduled to air on The CW this holiday season.

Anyway, the other aforementioned holiday specials could still be on My Network TV...

I think my network tv is locked into the shows they're airing year round so I don't think they can preempt their lineup too bad they're not flexible anymore.

With Fox's 25th anniversary coming up up how about Classic Fox shows?
Agreed! If they're going to show reruns why not shows from FOX! :)

They aired 'In Living Color' briefly in 2008. Too bad they didn't contain any Dirty Dozens segments ('Your mama's so fat/stupid/ugly, etc.)

They need to do more of these.

Also "Mad Men" reruns along with "Hot in Cleveland" when the time is right.

What would be perfect is those TV Channel 6 / 87.7 FM stations could put on the yule log. You could watch it on TV or listen on the radio.

If they're low-power analog stations then that works, but not for DTV since radio is analog.

Ernest Saves Christmas (Used to air on ABC a few times back in the 1990s-early 2000s)
A Very Brady Christmas (1988 TV movie currently in syndication)

Cheers & 73 :)

Three problems with that.....

1) Unless it's an LP, it would be illegal to run an analog signal
2) There are a number of FM Radio stations there now (Including ESPN Desportes Radio affiliate KXDP-FM 87.7 here in Denver)
3) An HD signal would be useless there unless it were set up like a conventional Channel 6

Cheers & 73 :)
