Any new developments on MRS Ventures?

It's been a long time since we didn't make much of a mention of this dysfunctional company run by idiots and also about what has been going on in the Pine Bluff and Cleveland/Greenville, MS properties? I'm having such a feeling that whoever that works for him (Russell) reading our posts, reporting it to them and not leak out anymore information of theirs, unless otherwise, would eventually keep it to themselves as well as keeping their jobs.

I know it's a pain to see a company like this go down revenue-wise and audience-wise. But what is really going on with Russell's camp is far beyond me. And don't worry. His aggressive business practices of such has been far behind me.

Any thoughts or observations?
______________

I've not heard anything on MRS, but KTRN is being looked at by some kind of commercial free christian group. Anybody with $400,000 that wants to move to Pine Bluff should look into it.
Edited by LA on 12/13/05 09:20 PM.

Of course that would leave open the question, If you've got $400-K, why on earth would you WANT to move to Pine Bluff. I grew up South of there and lived in Pine Bluff when radio there was good (and not because I was doing it). It isn't as attractive as it should be for a town of that size. It had to have been driving Buddy Deane crazy.

I hear that they are refusing to allow anyone to see the public files in Pine Bluff and in Cleveland. That's a big no-no. I'm not in the area, otherwise I'd go by and demand to see the files. If I was not allowed, I'd file a formal complaint with the FCC. Why don't some of you folks who are close by go do it?

Probably hard to look at something they likely used for starter logs last winter...

i cant think of many more ways to get shut down quick fast and in a hurry than to not give access to the public files. another radio friend of mine is from that area...maybe we can talk him into asking to see it

You know I would almost be tempted to go down there and wear a hidden recorder... but then I think about it, and the fact remains that this would require a trip into the city of Pine Bluff.

I just can't get down there during business hours...
