Do you think there would be a market fo any new local shows that catered to somebody other than 55 yr. old housewives (i.e. Sonoran Living, Your Life A to Z)? Just a random thought.

It depends on how much companies are willing to pay for product placement and informational segments. Sadly, these shows are hardly doing a public service, since they amount to paid advertising. BTW, Phoenix seems to have an abundance of these shows compared to other cities. Is it because of the high percentage of retirees who stay at home all day?

Maybe a hunting show for males in the evenings featuring the latest hunting equipment...

I agree that cost is always an issue. It's amazing the shows mentioned are still on the air. Isn't two hours of Kaley O'Kelley enough?
