Any new news on WHIZ-FM?

It's been a while since I've seen anything about the signal's move, possible sale, another frequency bought in Zanesville, etc. We still have 102.5 in Zanesville.

The problem is the zoning commission in Fairfield County. They have been holding things back, which could ultimately result in a major mess.

WHIZ will move to the Baltimore site once the zoning in improved, and the zoning has been approved for the new tower in Frazeysburg which will house 96.7 WHIZ.

WKOV 96.7 doesn't have a construction permit to move at this time. Can't move without FCC permit... (as well as tower zoning, of course).

They already approached the village zoning commission to Frazeysburg and it was approved, which I agree..thought was a little odd, especially since no one has filed with the FCC.

I just dont understand how Hafley can own the entire market in Cambridge. I know Coshocton owned the AM/FM combo for quite sometime and sold it to him.

I posted this(see below) last December. I appears that WHIZ-FM has yet to re-file for a conditional use permit
with the BLOOM TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES. They have told me they don't have another application on file.
They need more a complete application before they can zone the new WHIZ tower at the approved site.
So, the new WHIZ tower location appears to be in limbo for now.

From last December:

I appears that the BLOOM TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES, during its August 22 meeting, turned down
the WHIZ request to build its new tower in BLOOM TOWNSHIP. So, it appears that the new WHIZ tower
site is on hold at least for now. Below is the BLOOM TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES meeting for March
and August of this year where the WHIZ tower issue was discussed:

• Radio tower report: Cyphert stated Harold and Robert Stebelton, in conjunction with WHIZ,filed an application for a radio station tower to be placed on Amanda Northern Road, just southof the Edward Phillips property. Cyphert stated the Board of Zoning Appeals has approved aproposed site for the plan but has not approved having the tower. The BZA will not approve the total conditional use permit until all terms of the resolution have been met. She said they are far from completing the requirements and she does not expect a vote on the complete application for quite some time.
