Any Part 15 folks near Savannah, GA?

I was contacted by a gentleman in the radio business recently - he said there's a school located in the Savannah area that is looking for someone to install a Rangemaster transmitter. He was curious as to how much someone would charge to do the installation.

If this is something you're interested in, let me know and I'll get you connected. I am
just not able to put anything else on my plate right now, and I don't consider myself a good enough engineer to take on someone else's project.

Silly question, but did they call Keith for a referral? I would think worst case that there may be a nearby customer who may be able to at least guide them through the install.

I live on Tybee (Savannah Beach), but frankly I've been in a perpetual hesitation mode with my own unit... although within the last few days, now that the season is over, and it's currently less prominent, I've resumed preparation...
I don't experience any difficulty at all in installing a Rangemaster, it's really pretty cut and dry. The difficulty falls in being sure that you have a legal instal... It would all be so simple to mount at ground level, properly powered and tuned with some ground radials and then one can be certain they are 100% legal. -- Unfortunately, in a majority of cases, a ground level mount is unfeasible. And once you elevate it, you run in to the problem of radiating ground wires.
So what do you do. (sigh).

Incidentally, Keith insist that elevated pole mounts are still passed all the time, and a brief email correspondence I had with the 'Talking Billboard' company seems to confirm this. But as we all know, it's a very tip-toe road.

The point is, when it comes to part15 on-air broadcasting, there's too much grey area. How can you install a unit for someone else and feel secure that it's proper and legal...
All you can do is try your best on your own to be legal, and hope that a potential inspection will pass should it occur.

Just a clarification.. - it was radiobillboards.com, (not talkingbillboards.com) that I referred to above.
