Any Pirate activity recently?

From my place in south Tarrant Co haven't heard any pirates recently. Last one was a few years ago on 87.9 with a bunch of black helicopter/ new world order stuff. Seemed to be on for a few months then went away.

Have not heard anything recently, so my question is....any pirates currently opperating in DFW?

Airwaves here have been pretty clean.
Only pirate ive heard in a while is 95.9 The Taco.
But they haven't been on in awhile

I haven't heard squat but I am optimistic. Sirius or XM? That's the biggest scam in radio, i.e., paying for programs. Not for me and yes, I did try it. It is still not for me.

But its far better radio than what you get for free on the dial.

I guess it's safe to assume you don't have cable tv, either..?

True to your name, you tried albeit you've failed. To assume I live in the dark ages because of my disdain for "pay radio" is akin to believing Megan Henderson from Fox 4 is a man. In other words, don't confuse categories, my friend. You'll note that I stated I had "pay radio previous, to wit: Sirius, for two years. I chose not to continue the subscription.

With regard to cable, good one, but I have over 400 channels on my ATT U-Verse. You could make the argument that I pay for radio in that AT&T does offer a host of commercial free stations.

Want to buy a Sirius boom box? lol

No, I was just saying that we as a society now have no problem paying for television content. But not radio. Personally, I think you get what you pay for. If you pay top dollar for cable, you get 400 channels, pretty much everything you want, and then some. If you set up your rabbit ears, you get maybe 10 channels, most of them in Spanish, and the others with crappy content, or a bad signal. Radio is now the same way. You get what you pay for. You pay a lot, you get a lot of great programming. You pay nothing, you get... well, read these boards and see.

50 cents a day is well worth it to me. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.
