Any rumblings about CC & WALK?

I knew that Clear Channel was looking to spin off WALK a while ago, but was wondering if anyone has heard if that is still the case. I know CC has done some swaping in other markets.

As far as I know, WALK AM/FM is currently on the market. A friend of mine who does fill-ins at WALK-FM told me that is was up for some ridiculous amount..something like $100 million? But yes, to answer your question, I have heard about it and unfortunately (as far as I know) it is true...which means WALK could end up in the hands of some religious broadcasters or multi-cultural broadcaster.

with their signal, WALK could have easily been the Z100 of Long Island for decades instead of the snore fest it's always been; like 77WABCAM in the 60s and the 70s,the success story was about signal strength, not the content

No way WALK-FM goes for $100 million in this market. Maybe Red Wolf (or whatever that company is called that picked up 104.1 in Hartford) will pick it up.

Just what LI radio needs another religion station owned by ritualistic whack jobs! ::) ::)
