Any syndicated morning talent for Part 15?

I know programming for Part 15 stations has been posted before. But does any know of any one producing or tracking a morning show, or a daily show of any kind?

Not to start a kerfuffle here, but doesn't that sorta defeat the purpose of a local community station?

True. But with some of us retired radio guys, who WILL be live in all the other dayparts. We don't want to get up any more at 5 am. :D

There's a new group called the National Association of Low Power Broadcasters that has just been formed to help Part 15 broadcasters share ideas and eventually programming.

There are five founding members/stations. My station, Big D Country, is one of them.

More about NALPB on some of the blog posts and forums at http://www.part15.us.

I'm considering offering a weekly Southern Gospel program and a weekday country/classic country show eventually.

WTAE. My site at www.lpam.net has links to numerous Part 15 AM friendly resources. Check it out. You may find something that interests you.

Mine is not a whole morning show but I have a part15 friendly twice weekly short format program. It's two 2 minute cooking tips. Kind of a Dr Dean on food but with down home cooking, tips, grilling, meat and three, tailgating tips etc. They change with the season. Such as party foods for the Super Bowl, Turkey tips for Thanksgiving, Q&A email, easy recipes etc. The second tip is mostly food news, food recalls etc.

I send them out free to my affiliates every Wed. Would be happy to send you some info. Good luck on your search, and I'm not fond of 5am in the morning anymore as well. In fact my racing show a few years ago aired at 8am and that seemed too dang early.

Shoot me an email [email protected]
Some tips are online on my site as well http://thedeckchef.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=52&Itemid=235

Have a great one - Kent

NW Indy Radio has some daily inserts we use on our own stations. They're USUALLY available daily. They're volunteers and they're professional sounding guys with interesting quips and weird news items.

You can download the daily features from our server:
http://nwindy.org/audio/00Today/

Those marked AM1.mp3 etc are the morning guy, Chico.
Those marked PM1,mp3 etc are the afternoon guy, Scott Chicken.
Weekend mornings are flipped between Chico and Scott Chicken with Cosmic Dave doing afternoons and vacations.
There are generally 6 per day per day part.

They're usually location non-specific, but we are in Western Washington, so there are occsional references to local pro sports.

There is also a daily Western Washington "WX1.mp3" file that's travel weather for the part of the state west of the Cascades, if you happen to have a station in our region.

Take a listen. The /00Today directory auto updates to the current day's program at midnight Pacific time, so it can be used as a permanent link. They generally cut their shows the night before and work from their home studios.

Since the guys are volunteers, they aren't ALWAYS available. But I've set things up on our automation to play them when they're there and just go straight to the outro jingle with or without the blurb.

If you decide to use the shows, the guys would probably be willing to cut you a couple of local liners. I haven't asked, but they really love radio like most Part 15 broadcasters.

Questions, send a note to "programs at cflfm dot com" or something like it. Or private message me here.
