WBPM showed a slight, perhaps statistical drop in the ratings, proably not what they were looking for, however. One reason is they are a rim shot into Poughkeepsie, so I don’t ever seeing them challenging for a top spot. Another reason was those persistent very annoying audio problems, the drop outs, hiccups and other sound artifacts. For my money I would like to hear more 60’s and less 80’s music .The returning WCBS- FM from the little I have heard, they don’t come in well in Hyde Park, has it about right. But moreover , WBPM has way to many clunkers , obscure deep cuts that were not hits, and most people never heard and may not like .They seem to go through cycles when the music is heavy with there unknown non- hits . When they do I switch stations; I don’t listen to WBPM as much as I did at first. I bet the same applies to many listeners. There is a reason many stations stick to the much derided “safe lists”, they don’t want people switching stations. I am not suggesting Randy stick to 500 or so top songs ,there are many top 10 or so hits over the 35 years ., to give a station a large play list. Play more 60’s music and you won’t have to stretch out the play list, with stuff people never heard of, and don’t like. While it’s unfair to compare the presentation and air personalities between mega market WCBS -FM with a tiny upstate Saugerties station Randy needs to listen to how they mix the music up, that 92.9 can fix. It’s Classic Hits not unknown *its
