Any thougths?

I predict in some stations panic and mayhem will ensue, and I think they have called it a "massacre" or "bloodletting" in some other markets.

In the remaining stations, a general sense of malaise and unease at the thought of job security will continue unabated.

Many pencils will be sharpened, and resumes will be updated from talent to receptionists, but still, by and large, nothing will be accomplished. In some instances, executives' siblings and offspring will be called upon to step in to the place of those previously let go, at least through the summer book.

There really hasn't been any major market changes and no excessive marketing ... I expect a showing similar to the Fall.

Correct me if I am wrong but the demise of Whoppi and the disapperance of Eloise are pretty much it for any major station changes .... oh yeah,Buzzard changed their music some .... The Rooster has a new morning guy and Wendy Gatlin resurfaced at 94.1 .... anything else?
 
I agree there have not been many changes in the market. WMAG is playing better music and the Christmas spike should be out of the mix. WTQR is trying real hard but it may be to little to late. 94.1 should better and Wendy is a welcome change in the mornings with that loud mouth know it all Bob Campbell.

Or how 'bout this:

106.1 The Rooster is still a mess, and they won't be carrying any more Carolina sports broadcasts until football season starts.
100.7 The River is still a mess. Has been since CC butchered WTRG back in 2004.
93.9 Kiss is still holding their own despite losing Whoopi.
105.7 Kiss still has a crappy signal, and I still think they should give up on trying to overtake QMG and either model themselves after 93.9 (especially now that 93.9 has moved their signal away from the Triad) or go Top 40 (another possible Kiss format) and go after KZL.
The Wolf whoops TQR's butts big time.
Majic should come in more clearly in the Triad now that 93.9 has officially moved to Cary.
All three Raleigh sports stations--- The Bull, The Buzz, and The Fan--- will still be going at each other (I still wish one of them would pick up the Atlanta Braves in place of the now-defunct Triangle Sports Talk 1490/1090).
QDR still rules the country roost in Raleigh, even though The Rooster/Chicken/Hen still refuses to die.
As for Randi West and G105, they still hold their own despite the stink people are still raising about The Showgram.

Berlin might want to get into the habit of reading a whole thread before replying. Saves on egg!

Whoopie's disappearance will have no impact on the WINTER book. Maybe Spring.
 
Come on who has the skinny on Raleigh? Dig a bit deeper on the 25-54.
