Any weekly pro-wrestling shows?

Every once in a long while, I'll come across a pro-wrestling talk show. It seems like they are either short-lived series or they are once-in-a-blue-moon novelty shows.

There's a couple that I listen to...one of them is the Pro Wrestling Report, originating from Milwaukee's ESPN affiliate, WAUK. They're usually on every Monday night after WWE Raw, unless pre-empted by live games, in which they move the show to Thursday nights. It's a pretty good show, and they post the shows the morning after on YouTube. PWR's live shows are also simulcast on BlogTalk Radio, in case you can't the ESPN feed.

Another show I just discovered airs on SiriusXM's Sports Zone channel (Channel 860 for both sets), called "Busted Open". It usually airs Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm ET, although looking at this week's schedule, they're not on.

I think there is one on WYGM 740 in Orlando - Brian Fritz is one of the hosts, or used to be.

The editors of the Wrestling Observer newsletter had a show on the Sports Byline USA network. I think thet may still have it.

You're not thinking about "Wrestle Talk America" on the "Sports Fan Radio Network" are you? That show died about 10+ years ago!

Now down here in Nashville on 104.5 The Zone, there's a great show that started about a month ago called Inside Pro Wrestling with Jerry Jarrett. Yep, Jerry Jarrett IS Jeff Jarrett's dad, who had a great wrasslin' career himself, before becoming a promoter...The show is on Saturdays at 11 AM Central (Noon Eastern). You can listen online at http://www.104.5thezone.com

Not pro wrestling, but there's an MMA show called Way of the Warrior that's from a Clear Channel owned ESPN affiliate in Michigan. They syndicate it to other CC-owned ESPN affiliates like WCKY.

I did check and according to their website, Wrestling Observer Live airs Sunday nights 6 to 8 Eastern. Back in the early 90's the Sports & Entertainment Network, now Sporting News Radio) used to have a show caled "The Wrestling Insoders." It was probably the first show to use insider termonology and talk about the behind the scenes stuff. The host was an employee of the Vegas hotel SEN was based out of. It was the voice of TNA Impact wrestling, Mike Tenay.

"Between the Ropes", where they talk pro-wrestling and MMA too. Good show. Last I listened to it, though, it used to be two hours on Orlando's ESPN affiliate--but Brian Fritz does a good job.

Seriously? People talk pro-wrestling?

Why not? Millions of people enjoy it every week on TV. It's not like fans are handicapping it for money or anything, lol. Its mostly about appreciation for good matches and good shows.

I don't really listen to them, but I know there's also a few wrestling shows that air exclusively online--Jason Powell's PROWRESTLING.NET often posts newsworthy items and links to interviews these shows manage to get.

Also, your mention of SiriusXM reminded me of Right After Wrestling that airs on The Score Satellite Radio, Sirius 98: http://radio.thescore.com/programs/right-after-wrestling

A small correction on Busted Open, they're on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2pm ET.

There's another show I discovered via YouTube, the Don Tony and Kevin Castle Show, which is a weekly two-hour podcast posted every Monday night after WWE Raw. It's an okay show if like two guys rambling on but they can be a bit funny if you listen long enough. There's also Jim Cornette's commentary podcasts via Who's Slamming Who, again all over YouTube.
