Any Word on CC Cuts in Charlotte??

Anyone have any updates??? I'm afraid to call across the street.

AllAccess reports Melody Myers, in-house producer for JB&B at WRFX is gone...she VT'd mid-days on WQNS in Asheville, Rock 104.9.

Also gone is the WIBT PD and promotions director.

From what has been printed in the paper CCU has treated this in typical fashion. Former Regional VP Bohannon - now GM and henchman - once again casts off very personal issues with the old "call San Antonio" mantra. What a joke. The saddest thing for the new investors in to CCU is that they made moves but fired the wrong people. The leadership at CCU - across the state from my understanding - is more than just pathetic but incapable to produce. How in the world does ANY competent leader get to the point where they are firing commissioned sales people? The very notion is an oxymoron and in CCU's case may be just a moron at the top.

My only hope is that the new leader in the area - a man by the name of Toulos (spelling?) - finally realizes that CCU can win but the change needs to start at the top. What Bohannon - and his counterparts have done - to radio is laughable and that is not a way a company like CCU should be be known.

Bring back the people trying to make a living, a career, hope.....make those that are responsible produce or move on!

That is just the way of business in the 21'st century folks. People at the top make bad decisions, business falters or fails, cuts MUST be made. Who gets cut? Why the people who put the rubber to the road of course, the workers who do all they are allowed to do for thier employer, that's who.

Meanwhile the stupid bozos who made the bad decisions in the first place sit back, smoke thier cigars, go play golf, collect bonuses, get promoted but almost never get fired for incompetence or other reasons.

Someday maybe business will wake up and make the actual decision makers pay instead of the workers.

I think their time is coming. The cigar-smoking FAT cats are meeting their Waterloo. Their days are numbered. Hope they saved their money! :-*
