Anybody else notice the Bobbleheads on WTNH?

If you watch the opening for Good Morning Connecticut (Weekdays) the two anchors, Darren and Sonia, open the show reading their news teases and while one is reading the other always turns, looks at the other for a second, then turns back and looks at the camera - this can happen up to 2 or 3 times depending on how long the headline the other is reading.

I just thought this was too funny - the folks on the 5pm and 6pm casts don't do this.

Perhaps I should reccomend a good chiropracter for their necks :D

Damn! I thought you said that they made a Doctor Mel bobblehead! That would be so cool! :)

Are you kidding? Ann Nyberg and Keith Kountz do that all the time as well. I think Ann & Keith now anchor the 10:00 PM on WCTX.
It drives me insane!!
I don't think Ted Koppy does it as much.

I happen to really like Darren and Sonia in the mornings, informative, yet entertaning. They have a great chemistry together.

I never noticed it on the 5pm or later newscasts, but I'll have to take a better look. It just seems unnatural - I don't notice any other news program with more than one anchor doing that.

No, I've noticed this for a while, on WTNH. I don't watch WVIT or WFSB as much, but I've not noticed it to be as prevelant.

It makes me want to yell, "Hey, the camera's over here!!"

I really wish they would market actual bobblehead dolls, even if it were for charity. My brother collects them (mostly sports ones). After all, who wouldn't want to take batting practice with a Scot Haney bobblehead? ;)

You are focusing in on something so trivial, you would notice this on any newscast. It means you are watching waaay too much TV!!!!

On the other hand, the producer may be over doing it with formalities...
:)

Funny, since I moved into my house in January I didn't even get cable since I was waiting for a data line issue to get resolved. Now I have to have a tree cut so I can get my DirecTV. With only three channels it was hard NOT to notice stuff on WTNH - it was the only channel that came in clear!
