Anybody have a good source for old 45's?

I've got two sources, but not sure if they're online.

Jerry's Fine Used Records is on Murray Avenue in Pittsburgh (Squirrel Hill neighborhood). He is the absolute best in the Steel City.

There's another place in a Pittsburgh suburb, Millvale, called the Attic. There was flooding in that area last September, so I'm not quite sure if they're back up and running, or if the stock came out alright.

The last week of July 2005, the Pittsburgh City Paper (a weekly alt) did a cover story ("Spin Cycle") on the dusty disk/moldie oldie collectors in town.

See the story here, and a list of shops here.

Bill Clarks' Music Heaven, good stuff

Bill Clarks Music Heaven , a great source for me, Bill is a good guy and is a jock too, Call him at 508-238-7603 or go to his website www.musicheaven.com

gemm.com is probably the largest market for records anywhere.

A while ago I looked for There's A Kind Of Hush by Gary and The Hornets and found three copies for sale.

I have also purchased a CD by Big Daddy that is only available in Brazil and some other non-US releases such as the single of From Here To Eternity by Giorgio.

http://www.gemm.com/

Welcome to the World's largest music catalog!

I found Alan Schick doing Lucy, Lucy, Lucy. Four copies starting at $1.10. Never released in the US. A nice single.

Val Shively, All you need.

The Peppertree tree of posts...

within the 3 minute window between your two posts, you can always add to the original one, without the need to create a second one. While I always enjoy what you have to say, sometimes I feel you're talking to yourself?

If you don't know Val Shively is, I think the religious format board is more for you.

Re: 45's...

This might not be the route you want to take, but...

Check your Yellow Pages for jukebox/pinball jobbers.

There are still a lot of machines out there playing 45's and while the records
are not "new", they're less beat up than those that have been handled over the years.

They might even give you a good price to take some of the old ones away.

I did this a couple of times at a place in Massachusetts.

Well I don't (and religion is not quite my speed). Please enlighten us.

Sorry.....I meant non-commercial.

Re: The Peppertree tree of posts...

I guess I am a neurotic New Yorker with ADhD. I will combine posts if this is an irritation to people.

Peace.

Mr. Recordman of Upper Darby, PA. I don't have a count, but I would not be surprised if Val has a million records for sale. (Vinyl sir).

What A Guy (The Raindrops).

I used to buy at The Record Museum in Greenwich Villiage on Bleeker Street.
