Anybody hiring in NWA??????

I will be relocating to NWA at the end of the month, and will be looking for a job in radio..

I have worked in the market before, so I am very familiar with it.

If anybody is interested, I can be reached at [email protected]

I heard the there was a cluster of stations in fayettville that were looking for some people. What the positions are I have no clue, but the contact up that way would Grant Merrill. Sry that I'm not that specific, that is about all the details I have heard here in Central Arkansas

Grant's the dude that would know about open jobs... he's applied for and gotten most of them!! ;D Seriously though... he does have a good pulse for what is going on up there. Now that he and Jay Bunyard started this sports station, they may have some open positions. The website lists his address as [email protected] and the phone number as 479-303-2040.. knowing those two and both of their tuncontrollable endencies to pinch pennies they are probably operating that station on three people.. Cumulus was advertising not long ago for a PD for KKEG... and part time producers for Power... There are probably some sales jobs open at all the places. Most of the stations sound pretty good.. the long drive from Southeast Arkansas to my ex-wifes front door in Farmington every other weekend gives me plenty of time to listen.

Speaking of KUOA.....I see on hogsnow.com that not only did KUOA flip to sports, but there is also a new FM sign-on that simulcasts KUOA. It is nice to see a sports station on the FM dial in NWA.

They broadcast the format on FM 105.3, AM 1290 (Siloam Springs), AM 1480 (Berryville). Does anyone know where the transmitter of 105.3 is at? It is not listed in either the 100,000 watts or radio locator.com database. I would think it would have to be either low wattage or a rimshot considering 105.7 is a 100kw in the heart of NWA and there is a 105.3 in Tulsa, Joplin and Mena.

105.3 is a translator. The tower, I believe, is located just north of the Johnson exit on I-540.

So is KTHS just running the programming or what? Does 1480 run sports 24/7?
