Is anybody getting BBC World yet?
I think there were some ads saying call your cable or dish provider, but that was a few months ago.

I believe Cablevision in the NYC suburbs has signed a deal to carry it. Still waiting up here in TWC territory...this would be #1 on my list of "most wanted" channels right now.
______________

According to this article in Television Week, the only system committed to carry BBC World so far, beginning at the end of this month, is Cablevision in New York.
______________

I've been getting it on DirecTV for a couple of years now. I believe Dish also carries it.A few months ago they ran the full series of the original BBC version of "The Office." Even better than the NBC version.

Fred, thats BBC AMERICA your talking about, BBC World is the 24 hour all news/Information network parts of which can be seen on BBCAmerica

Hi everyone:Comcast already carries BBC America as part of its Digital Basic package here in Denver. And yes, much of the same stuff you see on BBC in London you see on BBC America. Now if we're talking about the 24/7 news channel, I haven't seen any ads for that though when I went to pay my bill last time, I asked the rep. I was dealing with when the next changes were going to be made. She wasn't sure, but she did state that it was highly likely that HBO & Cinemax East (which are currently on channels 14 & 16 respectively and have been there since the 1980s) would be moved to the Digital channels along with their multiplexes and that there were plans to add ABC SoapNet (which she told me was on the dish) and one or two other channels.I keep hoping they would add ABC News Now to the Digital lineup (They've currently got it, but only via their website now, which is the strangest thing I've seen). This way, I wouldn't have to watch them via my PC. :) I'd also like to see them seperate NHL Center Ice from MLB Extra Innings (i.e. put them on seperate channel allocations) so that ALL the games from those leagues can be seen as opposed to the current system where quite a few non-local games are blacked out. They don't really have this problem with NBA League Pass and MLS Direct Kick because the MLS doesn't have that many games to begin with (Plus the MLS season begins just as the NBA season is winding down anyhow). But alas...They don't do neither of these things. ABC News Now remains accessible only via the Internet as far as Comcast customers are concerned and Chs. 451-460 (where the NHL or MLB could easily go) remain closed.Just my $.02 worth :DCheers :)
