I don't understand why?
Let me run a test here, KFC!
More stars?
I really don't know what the bbbrrrock is going on, sorry.
Okayyyyyyyy.... that is two consecutive unintelligible posts. Please stay on topic and remain relevant.I got a feeling that the best morning show on the planet will be revisiting a certain contest that made the entire metro area of Sydney go insane.
No actual info, sorry, but it's been awhile and maybe just maybe it's the right time for him to return.
I'd stream KIIS 106.5 Sydney, and if you hear the promo then get on a plane, get to Sydney Australia right away, and be focused and prepared to grab that ****!
Conversations of currency is fairly easy, but maybe the **** is only for Australian humanoids, so do your homework on that **** before you jump on a plane with a mission to grab it!
This guy wanted money to buy radio stations so I offered a way to get some, that's all.Okayyyyyyyy.... that is two consecutive unintelligible posts. Please stay on topic and remain relevant.
So.....are you trying to spam us or scam us?This guy wanted money to buy radio stations so I offered a way to get some, that's all.
Radio is small in America now in regards to cash give aways, so I suggested a radio station that has a strong recent history of cash contests that would fit the bill.
I guess I figured that this is a radio message board so most people would be up on the world's best morning show for the last 2 decades that has given away a million Aussie dollars, a new house, 20 cars in one day....the list is....to say it kindly, quite different than little nationwide cash give aways that are on so many stations in so many markets that it becomes better to buy a lottery ticket if you want to work with those kinds of odds.
So this place is just all anger and attacks? That's sad. I would ask questions if I was unsure of something, not lash out in some kind of cry for help style anger and hatred. I'm seriously worried for a few people here, and I'm getting sad just thinking about the chain of life events and experiences that would render a human being to act in such a manner.
Can we set up a go fund me for some therapy for these individuals here?
It's anonymous so I can't see a negative from getting these poor souls the help that they desperately need. Thanks!
You sound upset. Why are you so upset over what strangers write on a message board? So this place is just all anger and attacks? That's sad. Your assumption that a show in Australia is the world's best morning show is pretentious. How many languages do you speak? I can think of a dozen shows in French, Spanish, and Italian that also might be in contention of for that title.I guess I figured that this is a radio message board so most people would be up on the world's best morning show for the last 2 decades
Me personally I'm not up to date on what happens on ANY morning show. I prefer to listen to music if I’m listening to the radio in the morning. But this specific message board is related to the greater Houston, TX area.I guess I figured that this is a radio message board so most people would be up on the world's best morning show for the last 2 decades that has given away a million Aussie dollars, a new house, 20 cars in one day....
Good question. And maybe no answer. Is there a community in Galveston that is un-served by Houston radio and which local advertisers would want to reach? Think in reverse by saying, "where is the money" and then find a way to get it.Glad I'm not the only one Lost here. lol
@david I have 100k to play with and burn and I say David let's take over KGBC what would you program on it? Whatever they have now is not going to make a single dollar! My current offer stands at 6k cash ready to go.
Not just that, but how do you define "best"? Audience shares? Gross revenue? Net revenue? Galvanic skin response? Those smiley-frowney buttons found in some post offices?Your assumption that a show in Australia is the world's best morning show is pretentious. How many languages do you speak? I can think of a dozen shows in French, Spanish, and Italian that also might be in contention of for that title.
I was in Galveston last month, though not in Texas City or other adjacent parts of Galveston County...which may be where a lot of shopping by people on the Island happens. My impressions are that the local economy is centered on tourism - there's a gigantic cruise ship terminal near downtown, for one thing - and the University of Texas Medical Branch. The island isn't as rundown as it was when I lived in Texas nearly 40 years ago, but it doesn't feel like it's thriving, either. Downtown has revived somewhat and there's some absolutely lovely late-19th commercial architecture there. The seawall still feels touristy. There's a lot of beachfront resort housing - the newer developments are built on stilts - is it targeted toward Houstonians looking for a weekend getaway? Or is it intended for people from elsewhere, possibly farther inland, looking for a Gulf Coast perch? I honestly don't know. There's still a local daily newspaper, the venerable Galveston Daily News, which appears to be getting by. Any other media outlet would be competing with that paper for advertising. At the same time, Galveston is a distinct enough entity to where strong community involvement by a media outlet could play to its identity, however that's defined, and amount to something. That outlet might not be radio, though, or radio as an adjunct. And would you get back at least as much as you put into it? It would take a very courageous person to try to answer that question.Good question. And maybe no answer. Is there a community in Galveston that is un-served by Houston radio and which local advertisers would want to reach? Think in reverse by saying, "where is the money" and then find a way to get it.
My first thought would be to build it around a very localized "MyGalveston" web presence with lots and lots of local content. I'd even have a community message board where residents could ask for advice on everything local and give opinions on local stuff. Get folks to do "Galveston content" like making a song or a rhyme or a TikTok like video about their neighborhood. Get schools involved, get workplace staffs involved. Radio alone on an AM won't make it.
If I were to guess, I'd be looking at 1990 to 2010 Country gold for the music, but lots of local stuff in between... it has to be local and unique.
I'm just shooting the crap here, but maybe this is an idea starter.
Good thoughts. This is the kind of response I hoped for when I volunteered my top-of-mind impressions. We share the belief that radio would be and adjunct and not the main show. The question is "adjunct to what?" and is the "what" potentially profitable. That outlet might not be radio, though, or radio as an adjunct. And would you get back at least as much as you put into it? It would take a very courageous person to try to answer that question.
