Anybody remember "instant" opinion polls?

Back around 1968 it was something of a fad
for stations to conduct unscientific opinion polls.
A question would be posed on the early newscast;
viewers could register their vote (yes or no) by
calling a certain number, and the results would be
shown at 11. WGHP Greensboro/Winston-Salem/
High Point called theirs "Opinion8" and I remember
WAVY in Norfolk calling theirs "VIP" (for Viewer
Interest Poll, or something like that).

Did any of your local stations do this?

WTVW-Evansville did during the early-mid-90s, when they were still with ABC.

A lot of stations still do this, only instead of calling in to vote, you're directed to log-on to their website and register your vote.
