Anyone catch "Bingo"?

Did anyone catch "National Bingo Night" on Friday night? I missed it, but from what it sounds like, it is an interesting concept. Viewers can print out bingo cards and play along at home for real prizes. I'm definitely going to try it next Friday - as long as ABC doesn't dump it before then after dismal ratings. :(

Yes, I did (i'm sorry to admit).
They constantly ran backround music (a la Entertainment Tonight) and had the audience scream to mask how slow and boring the game of bingo actually is.

What's sadder is, it may have actually worked...

I wish it was on another night. I'm never home on Friday nights and weant to watch/play but can't. Does the game have to be played live or is it one of the shows that can be seen on abc.com like Lost?

Yes, it can be seen online. You could also tape/TiVo it and play the game on your own over the weekend, as long as you do it by Monday at 6 ET, which is the deadline to submit your results online if you're a winner.

No Tivo or DVR here but definitely will watch online...saturday morning or whatever. I am sure it is easier to play with multiple cards that way too - able to pause the game and stuff.

NO BINGO IN NIELSENS FOR ABC DEBUT

"The Ed Sanders-hosted hour, which attempted to whip a 200-member studio audience into a frenzy while competing head-to-head with a contestant, only managed a 3.7/7 in fast national Nielsens."

I didn't get a chance to catch it either but it sounds like I'd like to tune in and give the show a chance.

However, the show came in third in its time slot that night, so it actually did not work the way it should.
The novelty will eventually wear off though (Especially if/when MyNetwork starts programming something that might have a serious shot of overtaking it).

BTW....I missed it (And from the sound of it, it appears as though I didn't miss much). :)

Just my opinion...

Cheers :D

I just watched 40 minutes of it. Very painful. :'(

I couldn't agree more. I watched it Friday night and just thought it is not a show anyone would want to sit down and watch, unless you're playing along at home. Even then, it was still pretty boring.

I still find it ironic that this is supposed to be some new fad of a show "all across America", yet the host is from the UK.

I have seen both installments so far of "National Bingo Night" on ABC, and
to be honest, if this show stays on the air another two or three weeks, i will
be surprised, the concept is not bad, but it's on a night when many viewers
are not watching television, and even if they moved this to another evening,
the chances of NBN surviving is not very good.

What's their target audience?

My prediction: NBN will get canned after this Friday's show. Nobody's watching.

Like I originally said...if it were a great idea, GSN would have launched it when they were stepping away from traditional gameshows as "the station for games" but they didn't...and...anyone notice LINGO is doing ALOT better?
