Anyone catch "LeVeillepalooza II" last night on WBZ?

Steve LeVeille Broadcast/ 12 AM-5 AM;

LeVeillepalooza II was pretty cool! I thoroughly enjoyed it, the night went by too fast in my opinion. I recorded it & plan to keep in in my collection of "Classic Recorded radio shows" ! Unfortunately, I missed out on the first LeVeillepalooza last year & didn't get to record that one. I would sure like to be able to obtain a copy of that show...oh well...

Did anyone on here take part in the show last night? There were some pretty interesting instruments featured; C melody saxophone, Trombone, Bowed Psaltry, Pedal Steel Guitar...I loved them all!!!

i missed the big stuff being in the car at 0245 - caught most of the critiques and of Steve's own way of rifling through his music collection for something that he thought he could carry off playing his clarinet.

last year's edition featured kazoo's, too, didn't it? or was that a different night.

i truly enjoy listening to Steve. a fine product of Burlington High School!

and in homage to the LeVeille/Hagopian (going way back) poll:

Brass or Woodwind ?

me - Brass.

That's why I recorded the show, since I knew I would be out on the road all night. I can't remember if he had kazoos on last year or not. Since he features them "regularly" during the show, playing along with the bumps & whatnot, it all kind of runs together sometimes! ;D
Nice LeVeille/Hagopian poll reference! Yeah, I truly enjoy listening to Steve every night as well; Thank God there is a live show available somewhere (Steve's) to listen to that isn't syndicated all over the entire AM dial. (And one that isn't UFO/Conspiracy based) :eek:

Anyhoo, he mentioned at one point that this will probably be the last LeVeillepalooza... :'( I sure hope not! It is a very refreshing deviation from standard talk, & allowing the listeners to participate is very unique, not something you will find too much anywhere else. Hopefully he will get enough positive response from listeners that he will consider making it a regular, maybe yearly event. BTW, did you happen to catch the call - the guy that called in angry about his neighbor playing the drums at 2:00 AM, & said he was going to call the police? That was hilarious!!! ;D ;D ;D

What I heard was great radio and very creative.
Wish I hadn't fallen asleep but the four or so musicians I heard were very talented.
Kudos to Steve !

Bah... I was hoping there were more listeners/participants on this topic. It would have been nice to forward the thread to Steve so he could see how well liked the event was. Oh well, I thoroughly enjoyed it! :) Please do it again, Steve!!!

It would be nice is WBZ Radio did a promo for Steve's program using the "Leveillepalooza II" cuts. They have one of the best production guys in the business at 'BZ and they should use him to promote Leveille's Program [ it is not a Show...].

Good idea for a promo. And you are correct, it is not a show, or a program; It is "The Steve Leveille Broadcast"! ;D
