Anyone else like WGCY?

http://www.wgcyradio.com/

Seems to be just like being in the mid to late 70s when I listen to them. Basically, it seems they play the muzak recordings that were made then and throw in a few vocals too every now and then. Nice station, with CBS news at the top of the hour. There can't be too many stations like this around anymore.

WGCY is in my regular rotation of stations for listening in the office. (It's one of the few internet streams that isn't blocked... don't know why some streams work and others don't.) I'd like to see them post a playlist since they don't respond to questions about a particular song or artist.

One reason this type of music is conducive to office listening is that it's not disruptive. People listen on their own computers at low volumes, but the sound carries so that certain notes can still be heard by people walking by or at another desk or cubicle. Any form of today's pop "music" is an annoyance at any level, but the shrill moaning and wailing of today's vocals can be particularly offensive. Unless you're right there listening and paying attention to it, even a talk show becomes an irritant from a short distance away.

Don't know if anyone else listens to WGCY's stream, but there's been a problem with it for the last several months. The sound comes from only one speaker channel. I've heard this on different computers, so the problem is on their end. While it isn't unlistenable, it is an annoyance. I wish they would fix it because I think they do one of the better jobs with programming Christmas music.
