The writing is having issues lately. The problem with such a large and talented cast is giving everyone enough screen time.
This was seen last season on an episode dedicated largely to Bernadette, Penny and Amy. The three woman were just as funny as the guys and you barely missed them.
The writers are starting to box themselves in. Howard was hysterical as an obnoxious womanizer. Howard is much more likable now with Bernadette, but not nearly as funny.
Raj not being able to talk to women, except when drunk is old. C'mon there's dozens of medicines available for social anxiety, and he's a scientist. He should be over this.
Sheldon is funny but only when the writers are careful to play him off Penny. Otherwise he comes off rude to his friends. Oddly enough only his mother, sister and Leslie Winkle have ever been able to put Sheldon in his place and make him act like a normal human.
Lastly the cast is getting old. Things that are funny when you're 28 are not funny when you're pushing 40 as what happened on "Friends."
Jim Parsons is 12 years older than Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki is ten years older than her. When the show started it wasn't too bad. Now Parsons especially, looks really old when he's standing next to her. I am assuming all the guys are supposed to be roughly the same age. Parsons and Galecki are showing their age. It can't be helped, but it's noticeable now.
"Two And A Half Men" started out as a star driven vehicle and quickly became more of an ensemble cast. But what I don't like is Alan was always a moocher and cheap. This was funny because Charlie was his brother. Now with the Kutcher character, Alan has gone from funny moocher to pathetic, loser, con artist, taking advantage of a rich guy.
