Anyone have any early Feb. ratings predictions?

Dallas - Channel 8, I predict that their morning show numbers have dropped by at least one, cause I have changed over to Channel 4 (but you will never see me over there at 10PM)

Ch 8 mornings ..down (morings) same (afternoons) Down (10p)(BTW they r "fakin" letters to " Let me speak to the manager" according to insiders. The letters are PRO. for the mornings.

Ch 5 up (mornings) Down (afternoons) Up (10 pm)
Ch. 4 Up (mornings) Afternoons ( no change) same (10 p)
Ch. 11 Down (mornings) Unchanged (Afternoons) Up (10 p)

I imagine channel 2's numbers will take an even deeper nosedive...no one down here cares about the Winter Olympics. The other stations will be same ol', same ol', with 11 squeaking out a news victory over 13.

Q: Alexa Conomos, you have a nice voice tone, are quite well spoken and have not mispronounced a word, at lest that I have heard, which is going a ways in this industry for talent. You have been gifted with that classic Greek beauty, face shape, large eyes, cheekbones and hair. Alexa, what you were wearing on the noon news today was a fabulous color for you. Please stay in those color ranges. Actually I have a degree in and have worked in television, writing editorials and in production. I've seen quite a few anchors take my advice and look better instantly. Today was perfect! Look in the mirror. See what those colors do to your face! Ditch the yellow suit from yesterday, at least for your job. Never wear pale lipstick. Color is good for you. You look good in blue, too. It's been hard since Katrina, getting used to new news anchors and stations, like everything else. I truly hope you go a long way. Keep up the good work. I'm enjoying.

Does anyone think the Olympics helped Channel 5? I'd expect
some strong primetime gains on Channel 4, given the numbers
American Idol's been pulling.

Sounds like a plant letter to me.

My predictions:

Fox4: Rise in numbers in AM and 9/10p due to,yes, American Idol
NBC5: Dips in the 5,6 and 10 due to noone watching the olympics (NBC always seems to screw that up somehow, someone needs to shut bob costas up during opening and closing ceremonies.)
WFAA8: Numbers may take a turn up for Daybreak (new anchors), other cast will either stay the same or take a dive
CBS11: Keeps on rising due to the fact they have their house in order.
WB33: Who cares, they get beat by Dr. Phil

Channel 2 will dismiss the numbers on their late news because of the late and varied start times. I agree, they will tumble because of the lite Olympic viewing, but also because of their very weak content. Their other newscasts will blow low too because of the revolving door of anchors. Of particular interest is their morning news. Their new weatherman is HORRIFIC! They got rid of the one constant star in their morning newscast (Wes Hoenstein) and replaced him with an arrogant and irritating weather anchor. However, that is par for the course with KPRC. Maybe the new GM will effect the right changes over time.
