Anyone have any information about Charles "Hossman" Burns?

Just wondering if anyone has any information about "The Hossman" from mid-day WSIX a few years ago and the syndicated country music show Country Hitmakers? The man was one talented radio/voice person. The station that I worked at in the mid 90's carried "Hitmakers".
I know that he was diagnosed with HIV/Aids quite a while back? Is he still among us? Just wondering about what happened with him. Thanks.
 
The Hossman is still among us, alive and well just outside of Nashville. ;D
