Anyone Have Hudson Valley Airchecks ?

Looking to trade for Hudson Valley Radio shows from the 60s 70s 80s and 90s. Would like to trade MP3 files via sendspace.

We are not going to do this. My airchecks are of WSPK. Dave Redpath last morning show. Bob Weil last night show. Mark Bolger in the morning with the crusher. Andy Shane. Jim Hartman. Bob Dayton Christmas Eve. They are all on tape.

You can't trade ?

I have plenty of them, all of these are from the 2000's including WRWD where CJ did his morning show before here came to "The
Wolf" and another CJ from WPKF's "Kiss-FM" back when it went to a more urban leaning station just like WBLS, WWPR's "Power 105" and "Hot 97". "Kiss-FM" at 96.1 usually played a lot more R&B and hip-hop in the Poughkeepsie area at the time, and of course, a few of Rick McCaffery and his "Solid Gold Jukebox" on WBPM's former "Cool 92.9" from 2006 when it was an oldies station before the ownership takes over and went to a Classic Hits format, and I also have a ton of WBPM airchecks of the "Music Blimp" with Randy Turner playing a lot of New Wave and alternative rock when it was heard every Saturday night from 2008 until 2009. I have them all.

Over 20 years ago I transferred every single DX reel I'd had into cassette form.

So with the setup here today in front of me, it'd be easy to take those casettes and turn them into mP3s. Lol -- I had used the facilities of a big station's production studio to go from reel to casette. (I must have spent more time those nights paying attention to those levels than I was to my own air shift :- )

Some of the Hudson Valley stuff goes back to 1963 but, regrettably, is just sign-ons and sign-offs and station IDs. The gang would vacation there each Easter week, terrorize the poor people of nearby Rosendale NY, and DX a lot as we fixed up some cottage from the winter in return for a week's room and board.
And back then, reel-to-reel tape was expensive, so we did used to have to milk every minute out of a reel of Shamrock tape.
And at 3 3/4 IPS.

As I've said, the content probably isn't much. EMail me if you're interested .... seaplaneharbour@hotmail .

I don't swap or sell or quid-pro-quo. It's all still a hobby to me.
