Anyone Hear?.....

Jodesha Broadcasting has acquired KLSY.....

That's KLSY 107.9 in South Bend, making Jodesha the proud (and local) inheritor of not one, but TWO classic Seattle call-signs: KJET and now KLSY.

Cool deal Bill! ;) What's the plan for 107.9?

I am not very conversant on the details, but I believe that when South Sound moved 97.7 up to Oakville they had to provide new service for the market. Hence KLSY at 107.9. Last I heard they were going to donate it to a local school...but that was a couple of years ago.

Someone on this board has more scoop than I do...correct me, please!

Yep, 107.9 was the "leave-behind". We made that deal with the FCC in the application to move 97.7 out. At the time, KXXO was very upset about the prospect of a new signal, calling Oakville "a spot in the road" and other such nonsense.

I'm still waiting on my app to move KANY to the same site as KDDS and KOMO-FM. It's amazing how slowly the commission can move when there are more than 2 moving parts.
