Anyone hearing WVNN 770 this evening? I believe they were on full power until 8:30 CT, then a steady tone, now on night power...still on with steady tone.

Near Huntsville. There was a carrier on last night around 8-830pm CT and some tones. They may have been performing maintenance. At 9pm ABC news and station ID...

I frequently pick them up in Pittsburgh, walking on WABC.
They seem to forget to power down a lot down there.

I've noticed this, too. Some nights, they over-ride WABC here in Central KY.

Speaking of 770, your local daytimer is quite audible here during the day. Weaker than 650 WSM, almost equal to 780 WBBM 30 miles south of Indy.

Yup. I worked at that "local" 770 for many years until I was replaced by a computer. They do have a very good footprint for a kilowatt. TX is located in a cow pasture a couple miles east of Nicholasville, KY in a low spot by a stream. We had many regular listeners 50-75 miles out in all directions...
