Anyone home at 93Q?

I know CHR stations repeat their music often. Traditionally, 93Q seems to be on about a 90-minute rotation, which I think we could all agree is about average. But last night, Monday 5/15, was a little less than stellar.Rihanna / Unfaithful played just before 8:45 PM, followed by Cascada / Everytime We Touch. Then, at about 9:05, yes, just over 20 minutes later, the same Cascada song played again, followed by the same Rihanna song. ??? Did someone sneak into Selector and toss the "Artist/Title Separation" rules out the window? Is someone asleep at the wheel? Anyone at Q don't believe me? Your on-air computers probably keep track of everything that plays -- go take a look, or even check Mediabase for independent verification.Maybe the 9PM hour plays were there because they were the vote winners for the Top 5 at 9, and they were inserted into the log after the rest of the day was already laid out. OK, but don't be lazy! Go back through the log and check for stuff like this!At the very least, Rick Roberts, as the DJ on-air and the last line of defense before the airwaves, should have had the common sense to pay attention to the log and realize "oh hey, two songs repeating in less than an hour... I should probably do something about that." Or maybe there's strict rules about changing the log, in which case I sympathize with Rick for having to deal with an MD and/or PD that made him look like an idiot there.Missing little details like those... is what will drive listeners to your competition, or worse yet, away from radio altogether, and over to iPods. Not slamming Q... I'd post the same post had I caught the same foolish error on any other station.

Like I said before, maybe there's a "rule" banning jocks from changing the logs on their own. But still, this is the kind of stuff driving people away from radio, and the folks at iTunes have their arms wide open. Rick Roberts has been there long enough, that he should be trusted to alter the log as needed. Top 5 at 9 or not, there should never be a situation where the same song plays twice in less than 30 minutes -- not to mention TWO songs playing twice within the same 30 minutes. If people wanted to hear the same songs over and over THAT quick, we'd still be walking around with 30-minute cassette tapes, instead of MP3 players that can hold hundreds of hours of music.

I assure you, if kids/people/listeners are calling/e-mailing/requesting/voting a song to get it on the countdown, then they don't care it just played 20 minutes earlier...
