Anyone know what happened to Tammi Price???

i am a HUGE Bone fan... but to be honest, im not really sure what is going on...Tammi Price sounded great on the Bone, i hope she didn't get fired...

i heard about this yesterday, some one on the bones myspace group posted a bulletin about it.

I checked in w/ 3 of my Philly Connection and I'm hearing Tammi was terminated. Seems like certain higher up PDS can't handle opionated, intelligent strong female types.. (see Ang Mason, who is doing extremely well, and sounding Fabulous at WOGL-FM) From what I'm hearing from well placed industry types, Ang clashed w/ her superior and was ditched because she had(God Forbid) independent thoughts on how to run her station, and I'm hearing this might have something to do with Tammi.. Not sure, its all conjecture, so I want to add a disclaimer to this, total radio gossip, and my info is non substantiated.
But it would be extremely unfortunate if something like this did happen. (Where theres smoke, there is fire) Tammi seemed to be a strong, independent type, a type sorely needed in this Male Driven Industry. This could be something totally different, but it just seems odd as she was there for a year, and then poof, gone like that... Either way, its unfortunate, and I'm sure Tammi will land someplace else with a vengeance (are you listening WZZO, what a great way to fight back as to hire Tammi, and maybe give those guys a sorely needed shot in the arm.) Who knows, things are interesting in the industry, and all broadcast companies are struggling financially, so this could be a money thing too..... who knows?

wait.. let me get this straight.. someone gets fired at a valley radio station.. and u honestly think they're gonna land at another valley station??? haven't u paid attention for the past 18months?? lol
 
well, according to the FCC registry, the Bone isn't a Valley station, I really dislike their imaging about that, there about as much a valley station as WXRK,NY is. There a rim shot at best, and at 6kW from 40 miles away, they are really decieving the listeners with that tag line.
Anyways, I here ya Reptimania about changing stations... But it would be funny because it seems like jocks do bounce around a bit between stations. Chris Line goes across town from ZZO to Cat, Stosh, Todd Heft and Blake Dannon go from ZZO to the Hawk. Heck why not Tammi to WZZO? She'd be a good fit. Although could a rocker have 2 full time female voices? I say Hell Yes!
But again, best of luck Tammi, you'll have no probs getting another gig soon!
 
There are two full time female djs on ZZO, Kelly Travis on middays and Tori Thomas in afternoons. Where would Z put Tammi, anyway?

That said, it still sucks when someone loses their job. Radio people have all been there, though. It's even harder in a "creative" industry - I think it's easier for strong creative personalities to clash. Best of luck, Tammi.

i would consider it a valley station... they have to use it in their tagline, or the regular population would not listen to it. and the come in good in allentown, crystal clear in bath and bethlehem, and go decent into quakertown in bucks county, and you dont lose it until dublin, and in the western direction, you dont lose it until you get past fogelsville, so the do cover the whole lehigh valley very well. what else would they call themselves?

"The Valleys REAL Rock Station" is the perfect tagline. especially since they are the only REAL rock station. other than MMR and YSP, but the bone is "Local" so more people probably listen to the bone (north of allentown) than MMR or YSP


anyway, to get back on the subject, Tammi's best bet is to try MMR, YSP, or The X (if shes north of the valley). and iuf shge lives in NJ, WDHA isn't too far away.

im sure she'll get back on track very soon
 
one thing your forgetting bling about chris line and blake.... the left on thier own... tammi got the axe like ken .... hence why she'll be blackballed in the valley.
 
Really, ya think she would be blackballed. How much co-operation do you think exists between your Citadels, Clear Channels and Nassaus?
She didn't seem like a boat rocker, but then again, I'm more familiar w/ the Philly market, since thats where I work. Just like to follow the soap operas to our neighbor in the North...
