K290BO 105.9's been on for almost a month and it's been simulcasting the 93.7 Radio Ola translator. It sounds okay except that the audio on it is totally overdriven and clips like mad. http://sndup.net/30668/d
As you can hear when the song changes the audio sounds great as the volume fades out, then goes back to the clippy crap as the next song hits.
This means that all they have to do is turn the level down to fix it, yet they still haven't done so ever since they lit up. Do they not have enough skill at broadcasting to do even this simple repair?
And as of today I checked and 105.9 seems to be broadcasting KWDA Mana 30.7 - a TV station from Dallas.
Why the heck would they broadcast someone else's TV station on a translator like 105.9? It seems to be Spanish Christian Music similar to Radio Ola but I still don't get it.
If this were my station I'd actually, you know, fix the audio on it and provide my own programming, after of course legalizing it. I know they split from 93.7 or at least that's what I've read on the San Antonio board.
Sorry but right now 105.9 just seems like some kind of a joke!
