Anyone know who the CE is at WOGL?

I wanted to let him/her know that the HD2 stream has had "burps" on it every few minutes. Sounds like data corruption. Some of them knock the signal from the radio (that's what I get for using a first gen HD receiver I guess). It's been happening for quite a while now, months in fact. But now it's happening enough to be annoying...

I believe you're speaking of the "I Love The 70's" channel (which also serves as WOGL's Christmas channel during the holiday season)... Not sure who's in charge of that particular channel. Though, if you can find the station's PD on Facebook, try and send her a message about the problem. After all, Facebook is the new email...

I wonder if this issue is also happening on the 70's station's online stream, as well.

As an avid supporter of HD since its birth, I have to say I am getting a bit fed up with the poor signal quality, plus the constant dropping of the HD-2's, which revert back to the HD main signal. If something is not done soon with the power and drops, HD might not make it.

Its not easy keeping up with HD2 streams when personal resources are so strained, its hard to listen all the time. Admittedly, the newer generation HD equipment seems to be more reliable with less hiccups. We still get maybe 3 hiccups a week up in Scranton on WEZX-HD2.

Might not make it? ???
Yeah, I thought that was a funny comment too. I have an HD radio and enjoy it, but even I realize that HD's opportunity to resonate has come and gone. Technology (reception) shortcomings and not enough compelling programming killed it a few years ago. All that's left is for stations to start saving electricity by retiring the HD equipment as it starts to fail.
