Anyone knows how well WHEC's 7pm cast is doing in the ratings?

I haven't really watched that cast since it was launched last week. I know it is up against Wheel of Fortune and Access Hollywood. Is is surviving, is it winning it's time period? Just curious.

Since we don't have meters, isn't it way too early to ask that question?

I didn't expect a BS answer, I don't know who has meters, I just thought if ayone had access to the ratings!

Rochester isn't a metered market. So, the ratings wouldn't be available for a little bit. If this was a bigger market that has meters, we could get ratings the morning after.

Ever try parking downtown? There are meters all over the place. ;D

All kidding aside, it's too early to tell what 10's ratings are. If anyone knows I would also be interested in finding out how this venture is doing.

My guess is that we probably won't know what the numbers are until after May sweeps is done.

Speaking of which, does anyone have the numbers for February sweeps? Have they come out yet for Rochester? I've heard on a national level stations saw big viewer losses for their 11PM/10PM/9PM newscasts blamed on the writers strike during last month.

11PM news is way down in the Feb books

HOWEVER, and not surprising, the FOX 10PM news cast ratings skyrocketed to new levels - most likely because of the lack of good first-run programming.

Now, if they can buy chairs for those anchors!

That must suck having to stand for a full hour now.

C'mon, that's the new look. It's in markets all over - standing in front of a big-screen TV - or at least what looks like a big-screen TV. Actually, a lot of people feel more "into it" when they're standing. I doubt that it's much of a hardship, especially if they still have any adrenaline flowing in their veins at the thought of being on the air live.

We'll see how long it lasts. I expect that they'll try the "anchors on couches" look next...

When Sinclair ran Fox at 10 they probably couldn't afford chairs.....what a terrible company.

We had a chair for the anchor. Reporters doing their stories from the newsroom or the green screen naturally had to stand.

I was being facetious.
