Anyone playing The Fray?

WAYK, WHMX, and WQFL are already playing "Over My Head (Cable Car)"; we just added it at ChargeRadio.com as well. The guys reportedly are all Christians, and even attend the same church in Colorado. The song is currently 9-8* at mainstream Hot AC, 15-13* at mainstream CHR/Pop, as well as #5 New & Active and #1 Most Increased Plays at Christian CHR.

No I hadnt personally added it yet, but due to lack of listenership recently I have started adding mainstream targed music... so I will probally add this one (It's on one of my TM Century Discs I am still reciving from when I was a mainstream format)Speaking of The Fray, I have a friend who is an "atheist" and loves em! The world needs more bands like them. Peace out,Matt

I don't program, so I don't have an on-topic comment to make, really...but I do have a quick question for Matt: Are the quotes around atheist there to mock his belief (or more accurately, nonbelief) or to say that he's not really a real atheist? Just curious.

I do agree completely that the world could use more bands like The Fray. Bands that know how to keep their music appealing to theists and nontheists alike.

Sort of like Johnny Cash. ;)

We'll be adding "How to Save a Life" on ChargeRadio.com shortly, which is also heading to mainstream CHR/Pop and Hot AC after some success at Alternative.

Of course you know that ChoiceFM radio is playing the Fray......http://www.choicefmradio.com. Near Walton, KY at 97.7fm. William I work with Dan and Bill at their LPFM stations. I hope to meet you some day. I missed Goodstock as I had to work at my full time job that Saturday

I just found out tonight that they were getting Christian airplay. The Triple A station in my area is already playing "How To Save A Life."

Hear Music™ - XM 75 - Friday, August 4 - 10PM ET
Network Live's SRO: The Fray

XM Radio and Network Live's SRO present The Fray recorded live from the City Lights Pavilion in Colorado. Tune in as the Denver based group performs popular singles like "Over My Head (Cable Car)," and "How to Save a Life".

"How to Save a Life" is now playing on mainstream Hot AC and CHR/Pop, and was a decent hit at Alternative. It's the song on the record that is most upfront about their faith.
