Anyone remeber Bill O'Reilly at Ch 5 & Ch 7?

Anyone remeber Bill O'Reilly at Ch 5 & Ch 7?

I seem to remember he was a weekend "anchor" at Channel 7 (as Mugar's WNEV).....and a "Columnist" on WCVB Ch 5...where he would deliver his nightly commentary or "column". (I never quite understood the role of a TV 'columnist'...or the appeal of O'Reilly as an anchor or columnist...or anything outside of the format he works in now.

Was this before Jerry Azar was doing sports or was it Keith Olberman then?

I was friends with a two of the sports reporters who were at 7 with O'Reilly. One was friends with him and he used to tell me how O'Reilly hated the News Director and thought he wasn't giving O'Reilly enough air time. O'Reilly did everything he could to get the ND fired but he ended up leaving instead.

I never watched him on Ch. 5 but while he was at CVB he got a Masters from the Kennedy School and seriously considereed running for Congress against Barney Frank as a Republican.

O'Reilly was at 7 arund the same time Kieth Olbermann was at Ch 5

Miracles of miracles...It snowed in the WNAC TV Newsroom when O''Reilly was there. Just ask Jeff Rosser.
