Anyone remember that old Jammin' 92 TV commercial?

...the one with the big guy dancing across the screen in a station tshirt. I think it was used in other markets too. Same guy different shirts and logos... it was a simple commercial... but effective... anyone remember what was said at the end of the commercial?

Scarily enough, I do. And yes, it was used in other cities... shots of the guy dancing around the Cleveland skyline were obviously shot with WZJM in mind. It was such an obvious success, such that I still think about the station three formats, three call signs, four owners and four nicknames later...

There were two captions I remember for WZJM: "Jam'n 92.3: Listen Now... or next time, HE'S NAKED!!!" and "Jam'n 92.3: Big Station, Big Jamz!"

Hope that helps.

Actually, they were shot with more than "WZJM in mind", WZJM actually had the guy come in a couple of times to shoot the actual commercial of him dancing at various Cleveland landmarks/locale (i.e. The Flats, North Coast Harbor, etc). The now defunct WZJM was very much part of the shooting of the commercial.

There were actually two different commercials with him. The generic one where he was just in front of a brick wall with the Jammin shirt on and then IN Cleveland making it local. Think he did a few club nights when he was in too.

Not sure if this was a rumor or not... but I heard he lost weight and really wasn't in demand 6-8 months after the Cleveland visit.

The positioner at that time was "Big Fun... Giant Jams" you were close Nathan :)
