Any user feedback on the Omnia 1 for AM? How does it stack up against Optimod 9300. I've heard a couple 9300's and they sound much better than older 9200's, but the Omima 1 price is much better. Thanks
of course, my direct answer to your question is going to be a bit biased , but here's something to think about:
Our very own Ted Alexander spent several months creating the presets in the Omnia-AM, and being an engineer during the classic AM top 40 days has provided him with the knowledge and insight to duplicate the "retro" processing sound of the Pop & R&B formats from AM's heyday, as well as the talk formats of today.
It's worth a demo to test drive those presets alone!
It all depends on what you are looking for, I guess. Generally speaking, I would say that the Omnia5-AM will get you plenty loud, and the 5 band limiter can "fill in" some of the upper midrange region to give you more "punch through" there. I would say it would be fair to relate the Omnia.One-AM to the Omnia5AM in the same way you would relate the Omnia.One-FM to the Omnia6ex. The "bigger" processor gives you more firepower - if that is what you are looking for.
As many have found with the Omnia. One FM, the little box (Omnia. One AM) is no slouch!
Arrange for a demo with your dealer...you may find yourself pleasantly surprised!
