It's been a while since I worked in CT, but have any CT advertisers tried something different than the tired old "for all your ______ needs, call xxx-xxxx, that's xxx-xxxx and come see our conveniently located location at 2341 west 43rd street" vanilla commercial cliches?

with CC less is more, not only are they working on the timing of 60 - 30 conversions .... but they are also focusing on making creative spots. selling a feeling about a product not knowledge ... keeping people listening and wondering what the spot is for ... not opening with "do you ever ... ?"

... but that's just what we are being tought to do ... doesn't mean the AE's are actually going through with it ... it is my experience as a prod dir that the AE's who care and are at least partly radio people are working with me to accomplish this ... but most of my ae's are retards and know nothing and care nothing about their clients, they just take the money and put the spot on the air so i'm stuck producing "do you ever ...?"
