Anyone using Nautel in Sacramento/NorCal?

We're considering replacing our old transmitter with a Nautel NV5LT. Any other stations in the Sacramento area or Northern California using a Nautel? We also need a recommendation for a reliable contractor in the Sacramento area to handle the installation.

I'm not in the area (in NJ) but I would highly recommend the Nautel. They're great units and Nautel's support is second to none. They still support their Amphet transmitters!!

If you want to fly me out to Sacramento.... ;)

Do it, you won't regret it. I'd offer to come install it, but I'm near Kentucky and might be out of your price range. Contact the local SBE chapter and see if they reccomend a contract engineer.

I have used the NV series and been happy with them, i also intend to install one Sacramento in the next year.
CBS has an NV Series at there El Dorado hills site, so you might ask there perspective as well.
The LT series seems good for the power levels they produce, just remember that the NV and LT parts are not interchangeable.

That's what we need, thanks for the tip.

No problem. Your local SBE chapter 43 should be able to help you out. The NV series is a sweet box. You'll enjoy it's reliablity. http://www.sbe43.org/

Seconded, do it and don't look back. Nautel makes superb quality transmitters and sales and service support bettered by no one in the business. They still support every transmitter they ever built. And they are boringly reliable, the kind broadcast station engineers and general managers can both love.

I've had great experiences with Nautel. The NX50 and NV40 AM/FM transmitters we've installed are as good as it gets. The support from Nautel is exceptional as well.
Even though Continental is in my market, Dallas, I do not regret changing to Nautel and recommend them highly...
