Anyone want to buy Houston Channel 30?

This is an old file, from several years ago, pre-LAT-TV. The earlier incarnation of Channel 30 used to run home shopping, at various times HSN, Shop at Home, and some other network that escapes me at the moment (Consumer Value Network?)

Oops. I came across this doing a semi-random search that landed directly on the file without going through the home page first. The home page shows that the listing is SOLD. I didn't see a date on the file.

Well, it is certainly possible that Channel 30 will be up for sale again now that it is dark, isn't it?
surpised that it is not running a shopping show..that would be cheap programming that could generate some revenue, but if no one is watching the low power TV that is not on cable, maybe not. I think this channel previously ran the Home Shopping Network in Spanish for a while, as well as in English.

Lat TV has stated that they will hang on to their licenses for KCVH 30 Houston and KVPA 42 Phoenix for up to one year, as they are allowed to be dark for up to a year before they lose their license.

I think KVQT might want it since I might complain to the FCC about the interference that it's causing to adjacent KTXH and KLTJ.

Save your breath. Any interference issues amongst KVQT, KLTJ and KTXH go away next February. KTHX and KLTJ are remaining on their current digital channels, 19 and 23 respectively...so 21 will fit nicely between the two.

KTBU would want to buy channel 30, since channel 55 lost it's english independent, and call Houston's channel 30, The Tube.
