Anyone?

Bueller...Bueller. Anyone?

Are Nurse Jeff and I the only ones left reading this board? Guess all the regulars got out of town before it got so dang hot. If no one posts anymore, we'll have to visit the El Lay board and see what the Old Gringo is up to!

YIKES!!

I suspect that the current situation where going to radiodiscussions.com takes you to a blank web page is keeping most from the boards.

I bookmarked this board years ago, just changing it from R-I to RD when the time came, and the page loads fine.

It could also be that messages and threads are still magically disappearing and then reappearing. I don't care about the market in Sheboygan or Des Moine or wherever else. I mean, c'mon...a baby could program better html on a message board. To whatever moderator overseeing this message: You're not the NSA, so what's your excuse?

I think the folks at Radio Ink have proved how adept they've been at Breaking things since they bought radiodiscussions.com. Email notifications might still not work, and message boards have been spotty.
Mergers and buyouts hardly ever improve things.

Same here.

I emailed them on Mon. about the "disappearing posts," and they sent me a response also on Mon. saying they are working on it. I was going to post it, but the disclaimer scared me a bit, since the Confidentiality Notice said "Any unauthorized review, use, disclosure or distribution is prohibited."

So let me rephrase what he/she said...they are astutely aware of the problems, and they're having issues with their servers. They ask us for patience while they they figure out the problem, and query it in a "sandbox." ? (I still can't figure out how to make the time stop blinking on my VCR, so this info is incredulously lost on me.)

So, Dr. Akbar, if I get sued, I hope you become a lawyer, as well as the esteemed Doctor you are...
;D

The past few days I have not noticed anything unusual except that when creating a response to a post I get the "timed out" warning. Just continuing on and posting seems to work fine. Haven't noticed any missing posts or slow response times either.

This is the only board I frequent using this software though and over the years it has proved to be very fragile. My suggestion recently was to strongly consider one of the more modern board products as this one seems close to being beyond repair. The problems I've noticed over the past few months on this board seem much more related to software issues than servers.

Of course, the Good Doctor would know all about failure having been the proud owner/operator of a 1976 Levi's Gremlin. ;D

I don't know What in the Wide, Wide World of Sports is a goin' on with mis-management, but I too receive a snarky message telling me not to complain about disappearing posts. Of course the message disappeared after reading it, leading Nurse Jeff and me to believe this is truly a Mission Impossible!

So if the Esteemed Media Men of the Middle East disappear altogether, you'll know why. It's been a hell of run ...and if you're sick of reading our nonsense, comfort yourself in knowing we're just as sick of writing it!

Doc, I told ya what would happen if you kept driving that Gremlin with the windows up.

Now look what's happened!!!

There are definitely posts missing, including the "Missing Post" one by Dr Akbar, and the Eddie Matney post on the TV board.
Bet there are more... ???

So what you're saying is that Akbar, Jeff & Gremlin, PC won't be representing me if need be? :'(

Not to worry...if this dump Media Hut fails, we'll turn it into a Litigation Hut. If Kurt Nurmi can make it on HLN, then Los Buckeye Boyz should at least be able to make it on Judge Judy!

Speaking of Anyone. Does anyone know what happened to the post about Chuck Powell leaving the Chuck & Karie show? Ya know the 3 hour blab-fest on KTweetAR featuring Karie Dozer-Here, chortling at just about anything said or discussed. Just wonderin' if it's on the Central Pennsylvania board ???

I should have been clearer. What I meant was that post entered since the restoration of the database several days ago don't seem to have gone missing. There are definitely still missing posts from before the "crash".
