Anything new

Nothing new going on since the 93.3 flip to WBAP-FM.

Things to keep an eye on: EMF possibly buying a DFW signal for K-Love. Also the strong possibility of TelevisaUnivision as well as Estrella Media selling their radio divisions, which would put a lot of DFW stations in play.

Otherwise, we wait.😑🥱😴

don't forget that KEGL is one people are rooting for on here to get flipped from it's current format.

Some minor updates:

93.3 HD2 (Classic Rock 93.3) and 93.3 HD3 (Classic Hits Cool 93.3) now show Artist/Title. I emailed them and asked about it last Tuesday and it was added within a couple days.

Channel Q on 103.7 HD2 no longer breaks up and loses the HD lock. I’ve been communicating with the Brand Manager about this for quite some time and engineering was finally able to figure out and fix the issue. The issue was also occurring when it was on the HD3.

Logos and album art are missing from 94.5, 97.9 and 107.5’s HD. Hopefully this is readded soon.

The Artist/Title info disappeared from 99.1’s HD, since the LMN takeover.

WRR’s analog/HD sync is off by about 10 seconds and this has been an issue for maybe a couple months.

92.5 and 106.1 both seem to have really bad audio quality on their analog signals. Sounds like a 32 kbps MP3 at times, with a lot of noticeable digital artifacts. Not really sure what’s going on there. Going to whip the Denon out and record in a bit, so I can show you!

I think that’s pretty much all that comes to mind right now. Of course, this is all on the technical side of things. Not much news otherwise…
