I guess they decided to do away with the whole set of sounders...im disappointed...and ill have to ask someone to point me to someone who has recorded the sounders for AP News Radio....

looks like the end is near...and im bummed......but at least they go out doing the news like its should be done...

i didnt expect a lot...but i guess i thought it would be a bit more.

It ended with a short statement at 11:59:30PM. I presume the anchor who readi t was AP's Larry Brown - he ancohred the APNN TOH newscast mere seconds later.

Last words of AP ANR? "This was The News Station." Then the APNN sounder at the top fading into oblivion.

It would have been a tad difficult to do a more elaborate sendoff without breaking the format. Maybe a longer farewell statement at two minutes before; but it would have been tough. Classy, though.
