I have recently had a lengthy private exchange with Roy. He has shared some information that was previously unknown to me. He has been fighting a serious ongoing health concern and, as a result, he maintains limited and only essential direct involvement with his radio stations day to day. He also indicated his business has suffered and that, in order to assure viability, he, like most others, has been forced to scale back in a shrinking economy. He advised that until recently, he had never personally heard of me, about me, or of any interest in the Houston LPTV channels because his calls are screened and his correspondence dealt with by others. He wasn't aware that his lawyer -- now former lawyer -- had given me the go ahead to put the analog channels back on the air. This explains why, when he found out, he said shut it down, and then when I refused had a different lawyer go and surrender the licenses.
Roy indicated that my posts on this and other forums, as well as my filings with the FCC, have negatively affected his long term standing with the Commission, his reputation, and his business that spans more than four decades. He has asked that I remove my posts and withdraw my filings with the FCC in order to mitigate personal and business damage. The FCC won't let me withdraw my filings, but I'm in the process of preparing new supplemental pleadings advising the FCC I wish to abandon my complaints.
I have tried to edit my posts on this board, but apparently this feature is blocked after a post has been up for awhile. An email to the publisher requesting removal has gone unanswered. Thus, I am submitting this new thread. Here's my apology, Roy...
