This is MY apology for allowing the title of the thread with comments about Java Joel to remain uneditted for too long. It is clear that Java Joel told an inappropriate joke while on the air in Chicago. But, this joke alone does not give one the right to call him "racist". It is also my understanding he is an "equal opportunity offender", as was Andrew Dice Clay. I don't think anyone considers the Dice Man as a racist. So, my apologies to the users for MY mistake in judgement for leaving the title in tact. Also my apology to Java Joel. I should have taken action sooner.
I want to thank those of you who responded to the comment, and bringing my attention to it. I also ask that people be more careful about the words they choose to describe someone. We are living in tense times and we would all benefit by treating others the way which we wish to be treated.
