Apparent Management Change at Route 81 (WCOJ, West Chester)

We all have a problem with LLoyd. Boo hoo hoo!!!

> Sorry, but unless you're calling me a liar, I was there. I
> heard it. .

Not that he would, but if he called you a liar would you have NOT been there? I'm sure you meant it in a different way.

>I was the one who went out and got the host to
> come back in the building after Lloyd left. Sorry you can't
> corroborate it, better hone up on your investigative skills

TheRadioPolice: (SNIFF/TEAR)" I can't believe he spoke to you that way!
Unknown Host: " It's o.k...(dramatic pause)... I've had opposition before.
TheRadioPolice: (SNIFF)" You are so brave.
Unknown Host: " That's how it is in this business kid. (Stare longingly)
TheRadioPolice: "Will you come back inside?
Unknown Host: "Anything for you kidd." (Passionate kiss)

Here is some actual truth for whom ever cares. Did this guy see and hear this.. I don't know. Fact. But I know this, Lloyd Roach has never instructed anyone I know to not be pro-choice, have pro-choice views or stop pro-choice views from airing on WCOJ. This is true because I have aired them and have tape to prove it. (and was not yelled at after the interviews which we unbiased)...go ahead say "That's your opinion", I'll send you the tape.) Pro-choice has been on the air at WCOJ guess you missed it. My guess is "Mr annonimous" (Taken from a movie :)) Must have seen this dramatic and extremly stressful scene in my 2-year absence.

Why should you put any authority to what I say.. well...In 6 years of being with Lloyd, I fired a few people and although they will claim it was Lloyd's decision (which it was), why aren't more people bitch*** about Lloyd's minions like another former employee was in privious posts? Also he is not the first to mis-represent or make up info about others tenure departures....hell for that much returns.

(Deep, late night, Dick Summer style voice:) And now, with horror and disgust, we continue our "We hate Lloyd telethon." If you were a victim of Lloyd Roach, please call 1-800-cry-baby.....we have counselors waiting to hear from you.....it's not your fault, it's...it's...Lloyd.

>Quite a cop out answer. By Pro Choice (I agree with Kerry, by the way), I >meant someone who was discussing THAT issue. Nice dodge.

How do you cop-out by giving a list of names of the Pro_Choice guest you have had on the air? Oh...then you clarify you statement after the fact and then attack. Use a clever retort to show all that you clearly stated your question...sort....of. People should really pay more attention to you. Did you hit you head or are the voices coming back?

>And, there have been >quite a few compelling stories about the topic during >your tenure.

Compelling.... by your standards? Oh right your a LBR crybaby sorry....forgot. (The voice of the priest in Exorcist): "Compell the left, compell the right it's the best radio since static."

>However, I was in the studio when this host "ran" the fabled Bill Wright >senior ads with the volume turned down, so the log showed they ran but the >audience never heard them. Roach would've crapped his pants if he knew this.

So would most owners who run ads for money Nancy. That would be the advertising part of radio. Why don't we play the "LETS ALL PLAY THE SPOTS WE WANT TO GAME."

I guess an owner who wants 12 songs an hour and the weather every 15 is asking too much for you. And wouldn't be great if we could all run the ads WE agree with because McDonalds is good for your kids and Coke don't take the paint off cars and YEEE HAWWWW that car dealer ain't never screwed nobody. And what were you doing in the studio....didn't you have some work to do....that's right...I forgot...You were crying about Lloyd all day. Have you gotten councling yet? If not I know a number.

Annc:This is the sound of former LBR employees
Sound: BOO HOO HOO HOO
ANNC: This is the sound of the rest of the world
SOUND: (Nothing)
ANNC: Move on dot org.....notice the move on part?

Why Can't Others Judge?

Yeah, Robert, I'll move on, last post here. Why don't you do the same? Oh, I'm sorry, your ego and arrogance and excessive tattoos (you’re going to look great in your 70’s) won't allow it. Who’s “boo hooing” here? Oh yeah, by the way, the Pro Life spots were not paid. No revenue loss. I did hear that there was a tax deduction for a charitable contribution. Yeah, that’s really combining smart business with your “moral beliefs.”

Ever wonder why you're not hosting the morning show any more? Happy afternoon drive!

Joe, diction classes and some remedial grammar.

Rubber balls…what ever will you do without Gavin and Lloyd’s sales brilliance?

And goodnight Colonel, wherever you are.

An Advertising Opportunity

Okay, one more quickie. Why not take that last spot and use it for a carpet cleaning company?

Fade up cute music and sounds of babies playing on a clean carpet:

"Carpets add so much to our lives. (Fade down music, add mechanical sucking sounds) This is what happens when carpets are improperly cleaned. Any questions?

For more information, contact Chester County Pro Carpet. A Berber is a terrible thing to waste."

Make up a spec. I'll bet Stanley Steamer will love it.

More Opportunity

Maybe they could sign one of those carpet cleaning cults.

This is Bill Wright Senior. Picture an 8x12 shag carpet. Now picture dust, germs and mildew being sucked away. Picture solution in the tank of a carpet cleaning machine turned brown with crud sucked from your carpet. We suck the crud out of a mother's room.
Unclean carpets are EVE-ILL.

Your going after my tattoos????? My tattoos??? Why do you care what I will look like in my 70's? EGO!!!!!ARROGANCE!!!!!!!

Oh...not paid for so we can do what we want. I bet your boss loves you.

Well, I left the morning show almost 3 years ago. They asked me back. Made an offer. I accepted. I came back. Doug was on. Joe was already hired I think. Joe's show is better than mine ever was. I think the better question is why did I ever get the morning show. Default.

You can't hurt me with something I'm not sensitive about and for thoes who know me know there is not much I am sensitive about except accuracy and cowards. Don't have much left for cowards.

Say annonymous.

I'm not the one making accusations without evidence or at very least, corroborating testimony. Nor do I find the inclination to investigate this any further than I already have.

No, it was about Lloyd being out of Route 81 and you people, whoever you are, seem hung up on this Planned Parenthood thing. To be a simplistic as I seem to need to be for you; When there is a compelling reason to discuss abortion rights on the air, I will. A point that I menbtioned that you conveniently left out was that Roe v. Wade is A) The law of the land and B) Not currently under any attempt to undo that despite everyone's worries about John Roberts. And by the way, since the majority of supreme court justices have been installed by conservative Republican Presidents and they still haven't over thrown Roe v. Wade, what are you so up in arms about?

Re: More Opportunity

I have to say that I have enjoyed this exchange with bierkenstock. TRP seems to be more upset that since they possess superior intellect they should granted a radio show. Sorry. I couldn't care less what you think of my grammar "Radio Police."

AND here we have a WCOJ know it all who will not grow the necessary wavoes to reveal his identity. Mr or Mrs, "Radio-police" I love it when someone comes on here and they obviously don't work for WCOJ currently. they DO however listen to our "rocking station" ( remember kiddies, talk does rock, at least that's what Preston & steve's audience says ) Gavin wanted so much for WCOJ to behave the way all of his Philadelphia co-horts do. It can't It doesn't and It never will. Our market is not Philadelphia, WCOJ is a 5,000 watter not a 50,000 watt flamethrower, our client base will never be like the large stations. We are the Big Dog in our particular Pond however. I have all of Gavin's expertise tucked away in my head, I learned alot from Lloyd, like a good student you take your lessons, learn from them and make them your own and go forth. To that effect I shall move foreward and become as successful as this county will make me. BTW, WCOJ is doing just fine without Bierkenstock's cork shoes, and the "RadioPolice"
Joe and Robert's shows are always entertaining and gaining listenership.
The programming is stronger than any other point in the 56 years WCOJ has been on the map.
I just dig how old employees are so unrelenting in the attempt to disseminate outdated information or kick up the dust of times gone bye!
So here....please use my kleenex! Farewell Lloyd, Happy trails! and as for Gavin, with all his bullshit about Radio, he jumped ship for Comcast!

I'm just a giggalo! everywhere I go, people know the part I'm Playing!

Re: An Advertising Opportunity

You all realize that this ad you are all on about hasn't been on the station since at the latest Christmas '04. Since that's when I started and I've never heard it.

Just wondering.

It was morbid. Bill Wright Sr. compares 40,000,000 flowers to the act of child abortion in great detail. Good riddance to bad rubbage! I for one was pissed off becaue it kept me from having Sunrise Assisted Living as a client. apparently the Ad gave some of the geriatric folks over there, including the owner, a heart attack because of the ad's descriptive language of abortion.
In this case the concept of theatre of the mind worked well in favor of chester county pro-life.

Harumph!

Re: Why Can't Others Judge?...do it quietly

While I never worked DIRECTLY for Mr. Roach, I did work at a station that he CONSULTED. And it was the best time of my life.

And, even tho' we never met, I stayed in touch with him, especially once he formed Route 81. I only wish I had the honor to actually meet him face to face and work under his tutiledge. Best of luck, Mr. Roach!!!!<P ID="signature">______________
