I guess I was a little premature in asking about this before:The appellate court hearing the lawsuit between Coast Community College District and Word of God Fellowship (Daystar) issued a ruling back on May 25th and notified KOCE the next day.The ruling is actually a win for Daystar, but neither side got all they wanted. The court ruled that Coast Community College District violated the law and the sale of the station to the KOCE Foundation was voided, which is what Daystar originally petitioned, but the station was not awarded to Word of God Fellowship, as they had requested in the appeal.Copyright Fair Use excerpt of the story from the Huntington Beach Independent and Newport Beach Daily Pilot:
KOCE notice of the ruling: http://www.koce.org/courtRuling.htmHuntington Beach Independent story: http://www.hbindependent.com/front/story/47130p-71672c.htmlIn a May 25 ruling, Judge David Sills declared the 2004 sale of the station invalid, saying that the district had violated its own rules by awarding the Huntington Beach-based station to a non-cash bidder and by lowering the price of the sale afterward. However, Sills rejected the Daystar Television Network's petition to have the station awarded to it, saying an automatic transfer was impossible due to legal technicalities.
