Apple Launches Apple Radio

Actually Apple has rebranded its Beats service as Apple Radio, but it's a completely new service, with new staff and management:

This is traditional hosted radio with DJs. Some of the DJs are former on-air talent, and some are celebrities or artists hosting music shows. Apple has offered this service through Apple Music for years. There wasn't much left of Beats. Apple Radio seems to aim more at Sirius than broadcast radio, in terms of program offerings. This might force Sirius to share some of its specialty programming with Pandora.

Here's more reporting:

I had just began a trial of SiriusXm a couple weeks ago, now this drops. I like it so far though. Apple Music Hits has some programs that remind me of SiriusXm radio. But the Easy Hits radio is my favorite right now. You really cant go wrong with easy listening music.
