Application filed that would mean 104.3 coming to Pittsburgh

Keymarket has just filed an application to move East Liverpool OH licensed 104.3 to Moon Township PA with no facility change. This is simply a smoke screen so once the city of license change is approved then we will see an application to move the transmitter closer to Pittsburgh.

Isn't this news at least a year old? It was filed so the studios could move in with the other Frogs.

I am surprised they haven't moved the station in Stubenville yet. Its on the 4th floor of the old Channel 9 building downtown. The TV sets are still in place downstairs with about a foot of dust on them. Somewhere the ghost of Red Donnelly is lurking.

Are all the Froggy stations still broadcasting simultaneously? I didnt know they all have separate studios. Shows how much I listen to country music.......

Just Jimmy Roach. The music rotations are the same elsewhere with different hosts and commericals. If I remember correctly their studios are in Crafton, Center Township, Stubenville, East Liverpool and Brownsville.

Actually Pittsburgh, East Liverpool & Stuebenville are now networked 24 hours, 7 days a week. Same jocks & music, only the 2 commercials sets differ. Brownsville is local from 10-3 Monday-Friday with their local jocks, the rest of the time, they are part of the Froggy network as well. Even though Brownsville is local for those 5 hours, the music is exactly the same as the other Frogs. Chances are, It's only a matter of time before that station is networked 24/7 as well.

no engineer I...but wouldn't that xmttr move make it too close to 104.7 (WPGB)...wouldn't the spacing be too close

The xmtr is staying where it is in Hookstown, PA.

BTW, 103.5 is still live weekdays from 1-3 pm. And no, there aren't any TV sets in the windows - just a deserted two-story department store.
