Can't believe that KMEL, a once dominate station in San Francisco fell to a 1.8, its lowest share since the Summer 1984 ratings period, when they flipped from AOR to CHR/Rhythmic.

That's 960, isn't it?

*goes to check*

Yup.

It'll always be KABL to me, regardless of whatever format it airs now.

What format is it actually airing? I've landed on 960 a few times in the last week and can't figure out if they have a format, much less a strategy.

I was wondering that myself.

At least when they were affiliated with Bloomberg, they were airing something useful.

But whatever they're airing now.... *scratches head*

The format is Fox Sports by day, conservative talk by night. Per

the reason for the dual format is that Audacy-owned KGMZ-FM has the rights to carry Fox Sports overnights in San Francisco.

Question to anyone out there: I have not seen for a while any ratings on KNBR. Since KGMZ has been on the scene in 2012, I love seeing how KGMZ and KNBR fare. Any updates?

Cumulus, the owner of KNBR is currently in a legal battle with Nielsen as its previous contract expired. As such, their ratings are not being made available by Nielsen as it only publicly shares subscribing stations.
